When seeking accurate information on eating to support your fitness or sports endeavours, an Accredited Sports Dietitian is who you see for expert advice. Sports Dietitians have completed university qualifications to become Accredited Practicing Dietitians, and then further education to become registered with Sports Dietitians Australia.
We work with athletes of all levels to help them optimise their performance through individualised meal plans and tailored nutrition counselling.
We develop these customised plans based on your unique needs, taking into account factors such as age, weight, gender, sport, training schedule, and food preferences. In addition to providing guidance on what to eat, we also teach our clients how to navigate eating in the real world so you can still enjoy eating with friends and family without compromising your performance goals.
We also work with athletes on behaviour modification techniques to overcome obstacles such as poor food choices, inadequate fuelling, overtraining, and emotional eating. Our ultimate goal is to help our clients develop sustainable habits that allow them to reach their full potential as athletes.
How can a sports dietitian help me?
If you are looking to improve your performance as an athlete or just want to make healthier choices in general, working with our Accredited Practicing Sports Dietitians in Perth can be extremely beneficial.
Here are a few ways in which we can help you reach your goals:
- Increased energy levels: A well- balanced diet is essential for providing your body with the energy it needs to perform at its best. We can help you identify which foods will give you sustained energy throughout the day and help you troubleshoot any issues you may be having with fatigue.
- Improved recovery time: What you eat before and after exercise plays a big role in how quickly your body recovers. We can teach you how to time your meals around your workouts so that you are properly refuelled and ready to perform at your next training session or competition.
- Build lean muscle mass: If you are looking to gain muscle mass, we can create a nutrition plan that includes the right mix of protein, carbohydrates, and fat to help you achieve your goals.
- Improved athletic performance: We’ll empower you to take performance to the next level, and maximise your exercise goals with credible nutrition.
