Letting go of dieting, and instead developing the skills to follow a nourishing and enjoyable way of eating that you can honestly sustain for the rest of your life can feel pretty overwhelming. If you’re feeling out of your depth in how to do this, we can support you.
At Intuitry, we’ve experienced working with all kinds of complicated eating and dieting backgrounds, practices and behaviours. The most usual comments we get from clients are:
- I’ve been on numerous diets, but I can’t ever seem to sustain and maintain them
- I constantly lose and regain weight in a never-ending cycle
- I’m an emotional eater
- I know what I need to do, I just need to motivate myself to do it
- ABC diet worked really well for me until XYZ
- I feel out of control when there is food nearby
If some or all of these statements ring true for you, Intruitry can help. We are a down-to-earth team of realistic, practical and compassionate Perth dietitians with a wealth of experience supporting people with their food, weight and shape concerns. We make a point to collaborate with you, and appreciate the factors in your life that might support or create barriers to changes in eating. By taking all of this into consideration, we hope to develop your confidence in managing eating well no matter what is going on in your life.
We aim to help people navigate the often difficult process of moving away from the limiting or preoccupying food and body rules, so that you can eat in a way that actually suits you; with the foods you enjoy and the people you love. With more than 12 years’ expertise helping our clients develop fulfilling and sustainable eating/fitness patterns, the Intuitry team thrives on helping anyone with weight- or image-related concerns to recapture a full life – one where they are free of the exhausting internal negotiations about whether or not they are allowed to have another scoop of ice cream.
Our Mount Lawley dietitians apply a weight-neutral approach to nutrition
At Intuitry, we welcome an open conversation about where you are at with your body. As advocates against diet culture, we work to demystify eating and remove the veil of unnecessary confusion and moral notoriety to leave you with clarity on how to eat in a way that works best for you. Of course we still value your health – we’re dietitians after all! However, your diet should not come at the cost of everything else.
Instead of succumbing to that urgent feeling to go on another diet, Intuitry can meet you where you’re at, and together we will set realistic goals to help you gradually improve your relationship with diet and body image, for sustainable change.
